Rotating Pressure Vessel Oxidation Test (RPVOT) evaluates the oxidation stability of new and in-service turbine oils having the same composition. The data is used to assess the remaining oxidation life of the in-service oil. In large fluid systems, such as in turbines, the test is of paramount importance to ensure that the oil has been completely spent before it is replaced.
